01

The agreement

These terms are a contract between you and [Company legal name] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using anything2note, you agree to them and to our Privacy policy. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf.

02

Your account

  • You must be at least 13, and have a parent's or guardian's consent if you are under the age of majority where you live (18 in India).
  • Give us accurate information and keep your sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • One person per account. Don't create multiple accounts to get extra free trials or get around usage limits.

03

Plans, billing and renewal

anything2note is a paid subscription with three plans (Starter, Plus and Pro), billed monthly in advance. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of credits (1 credit is 1 minute of audio or video, or 1 document page) and AI chat messages. Unused credits don't roll over.

Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial with a capped allowance of credits and chat messages. A card is required to start it. You won't be charged until the trial ends, and if you cancel before then you won't be charged at all. One trial per account.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Where local rules require a pre-debit notice (for example RBI rules for Indian cards), you'll get one.
  • Prices are in USD and shown at checkout, with applicable taxes (for example GST in India) added where required. Dodo Payments sells the subscription to you as merchant of record, and its terms also apply to the purchase.
  • We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days' notice. Changes never apply to a period you've already paid for.

Refunds are covered by our Refund policy.

04

Your content

You keep all rights in the files, recordings, links and text you submit ("your content") and in the outputs generated for you.

You give us a limited licence to host, copy, process and transmit your content only as needed to provide the Service to you, including sending it to our sub-processors. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for residual backups kept for up to [30] days.

You're responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for your content, including copyright and the consent of people you record, such as your lecturer's or institution's permission to record a class.

05

Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to:

  • record people without the consent your local law requires, or upload content you don't have the right to use;
  • process unlawful content, or content that exploits or harms children;
  • infringe others' intellectual property, including redistributing copyrighted material via share links;
  • probe, overload or disrupt the Service, bypass usage limits, or scrape it;
  • resell the Service or build a competing product from its outputs without our written permission.

We may suspend or remove content or accounts that break these rules, and we will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

06

AI outputs

Notes, tasks, flashcards and other outputs are generated automatically and can be incomplete or wrong. We design them to cite their sources and to say "Not mentioned" rather than guess, but you should check anything important against the original before relying on it.

Outputs are not professional advice: medical, legal, financial or otherwise.

07

Third-party services

When you add a YouTube link, you must also follow YouTube's Terms of Service. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability can change.

08

Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and brand, belongs to us and our licensors. These terms don't grant you any rights in it beyond using the Service as intended.

If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.

09

Ending the agreement

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we discontinue it, we'll give you at least 30 days to export your content and refund any unused prepaid period.

10

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and INR 5,000 (or USD 60).

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

11

Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of your content or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, to the extent the law allows.

12

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [City], India have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer in the EU or UK you may also bring proceedings in your country of residence under its mandatory laws.

Before filing a claim, please write to legal@anything2note.com so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days.

13

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we'll give at least 14 days' notice by email or in the app. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept them. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
