Price elasticity of demand (PED) is the percentage change in quantity demanded divided by the percentage change in price. It has no units, so you can compare how buyers react to coffee prices with how they react to petrol.

It depends on your institution and your lecturer. Many allow personal recordings for study; some ask you to get permission first. Check your course policy or ask the lecturer. The in-app recorder reminds you before it starts.
A phone on the desk in the first few rows works well. Background chatter and fan hum are cleaned up, and if a stretch is genuinely inaudible the notes say so instead of filling the gap.
